For the past few years, since 2018 I have been searching for a better way to help our customers get out of a very big lawn rut. What I discovered was the the combination of our climate combined with very poor soils, utilization of synthetics and the very high price of water in our county (El Paso, Colorado) has left people discouraged with the struggle to maintain a lawn. I used to think that the primary causes of lawn failure were things like pH, Soil Carbon, Water Moisture Content, Inorganic Salts, CEC, etc. While these are contributing factors that are directly related to lawn stress, disease and failure, they are not the leading cause. No, this may sting a little but if you know me I like cutting to the chase, saving time. People often tell me that they like my candor, sometimes they resent it but some things need to be said to expose the truth. The main cause or causes of lawn failure really have nothing to do with the lawn whatsoever. The main causes are things like habit, tradition, ignorance, superstition, a reluctance and fear of change and sometimes arrogance.

If you feed your dog really crappy food, you know like the $25 50lbs kind you should expect problems. If you forget to give your hamster water before you go away on vacation it will die. If you expose animals to toxic chemicals and them you consume them you will be eating that toxin. If you go to your doctor complaining of a pain in your chest but you don’t want him to run tests or draw bloodwork but prescribe you a pill you are probably not going to live a long rich life. See where I am going with this? When presented with facts, logic and reason that there is a problem and you are given a choice to change do you keep on with the old path? If you learn the truth and say that there is no change needed is that wise? When a solution is available that will solve your problems but you choose not to take it is that smart? There has been a lot of guessing and hoping when it comes to lawn maintenance and reluctantly staying with the status quo when there is a more efficient solution is, well you can pick the word of your choice. I hope that this message resonates with people that are forward thinking that have not been lost to habit, tradition, status quo and the like.

We have discovered a much better way of doing things that will make your life a lot less painful. Will you join us?
