Leave it to the Germans (me being one of them) to come up with really long hard to pronounce words with very simple meanings. Unabhängigkeit, is the German word for Freedom or Independence. Now you know some German (Try looking up Unabhängigkeitserklärungen, they should have used that in the Declaration). I use this word because whether or not you realize it or not your lawn is dependent on synthetic fertilizers which really means YOU are dependent o synthetic fertilizers and they are causing a lot of problems for you. It amazes me looking back how much we are slaves to certain systems. The promise of ease reveals a darker side on the backend, you know when the Piper is due payment and trust me the Piper always gets paid but this might be getting a little heavy on the philosophical side. The point is the vast majority are really paying for their quick acting convenience, their narcotic affect so to speak. I could probably make a case that most people are spending 30-50% MORE for water, toxifying their environment with pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, engaging in unnecessary mechanical actions to mitigate failures in the lawn (soil) all while killing off all of those friendly little microbes that want to help you. The reality is that we have been taught an easy front end while tolerating a punitive back end while being fooled into thinking that it is somehow “normal”. A lawn that uses synthetics can bypass all of the functions of a biological system and seemingly win, just like the Wehrmacht being high on Pervatin during the invasion on the Western front. It didn’t work out for them in the end now did it? The point here to take home is that YOU ARE PAYING MORE MONEY USING SYNTHETICS and we can prove it.
