Why We’ve Stopped Saying the “F” Word
There’s a word we don’t use around here anymore.
A word once used with pride, now whispered with regret.
A word so out of touch with what your lawn actually needs… we’ve started calling it the “F” word.
That’s right—we’re talking about fertilizer.
🚫 The “F” Word Has Lost Its Meaning
Once upon a time, the word fertilizer suggested growth, abundance, and vitality. But over the years, that word has become synonymous with a broken system—one that feeds symptoms, not solutions.
Today, “fertilizer” has come to mean:

Chemical dependency dressed up as plant care
We realized that by continuing to use the word, we were unintentionally reinforcing a worldview that we’ve spent years working to reverse. So we cut ties with it—for good.

To be clear, it’s not the idea of feeding plants that’s the problem. It’s how the industry defines what and why we feed.
Synthetic fertilizers are like junk food for your lawn:

Instead, we focus on natural nutrient cycling—fueled by compost extracts, humic acids, mineral balancing, and living microbial inoculants. We treat the soil so it can feed the plant—not the other way around.
