I have always noticed that when someone understands something they can simplify it for others. I have spent a lot of time researching how to make lawns better. What I have discovered is that almost everything we have been taught is either flawed or is an outright falsehood. I want to do better and I want to help others have a successful lawn. In regard to our biology program here are some brief bullet points that help explain what we do and how we gain the upper hand when it comes to our lawns:
- We do not have a fertilizer shortage, we have a biology problem.
- We need to build efficiency in the soil.
- A biological system does not feed the plant, it feeds the soil and the microbes in it.
- There are two methods of fertility: synthetic and biological
- Our soils are dysfunctional, they do not work right.
- Synthetics are making our soils worse.
- You are paying about 20-50% in wasted due to our poor soils.
- Soil testing reveals all, quantifies and provides objective information that can be tracked and are not subjective, eliminating guessing.
- All soils can be repaired, soil is forgiving.
- When corrections are made the soil begins to work in your favor, becoming efficient.
- You are already spending in waste what a quality biological program costs, they essentially pay for themselves.
