What most people do not understand. that is from a consumer level, is that things cost money and goods and services are not arbitrary, they are largely dictated by market forces and the cost associated with providing them. It takes a lot of energy to move assets and personnel from point A to point B, known as the route based system, or getting from your last job to your next job. While this is necessary and impossible to avoid in most cases with lawn maintenance it can be severely defrayed by robotic automation. Because this method involves a dedicated machine that autonomously mows, it reduces the need for human presence. This reduced need to travel to the jobsite to do work has an effect on the cost associated with maintenance. This reduced cost will affect the price in which a customer pays. Depending on the status of ownership, the price for maintenance will stabilize or drive down the cost. This is the beauty of innovation and technological advancement, it creates efficiency and through that efficiency productivity can be increased which solves a lot of problems associated with the current method of mowing turf. Things will improve and there are many benefits as we make this shift that will affect: the customer, the grass, the environment, the employee, the business and the business owner. This is a win-win for a lot of elements in the equation.
