Who can you trust these days? To quote a line form one of my favorite movies, “The Big Short”, Dr. Michael Burry, the guy who shorted the housing market prior to the 2008 financial crises, portrayed by Christian Bale, states that, “before a bubble bursting there are always markers, increased fraud being one of them”. Human Beings, being Human Beings tend to rip off other Human Beings during financial stress. I’ve see a lot of silly, unnecessary and sometimes dishonest practices in the lawn care industry. This is one of the things that drove us to the biological method that we now use today. One of the cornerstones of the biological method is correcting preexisting damage, both pre-development and post-development. Our soils are really screwed up and this backed by science rather than “guessing” as like to call it. That action would be treating everyone’s lawn like all of the other customers that you have in hopes that everything will just work out if we water enough after laying down that golden fertilizer. Well there is a problem here, everyone’s lawns, or more specifically soil are NOT the same. After over 100 soil tests over the last few years and I can tell you objectively that there are no two soils out of that mass of tests that identify any two soils with the identical characteristics. You see we use soil testing to identify what we do and how we act to engaging a lawn, bring it up to par, install biology and a LOT of carbon (fuel for the microbes and water holding material) and sit back and wait for the biology to begin correcting the soil in many ways. The beautiful thing about the biological system is that it is objective, measurable and predictable as chemistry and biology can’t lie. Isn’t that awesome? Once you understand the fundamental and proper hydration techniques a lot of your problems disappear. Biological lawns don’t just perform, they correct and heal and create efficiency.
