Often we lose sight of the purpose of a landscape. Sometimes we get caught up in the economics, social status, inconvenience, environmental and political aspects that surround the landscape industry. Landscapes have a powerful effect on the human psyche and possess an intrinsic value that brings us closer to nature. While the variations on a landscape can be similar and sometimes contrast with nature they are in attempt of human beings to mimic a tamed version of nature that they can enjoy and remain attached through the aesthetic joy of its existence.
Sometimes the weight and burden of a landscape can diminish the value which it was intended to serve and become a liability. I recognized that these were issues several years ago and was frustrated of the level of inefficiency that I noticed surrounding the industry. I wanted to change this and while it took me several years to recognize the problems and develop solutions to these frustrations I now feel confident that we have achieved great progress, while not perfected, in bringing change to landscape industry so that we can return to the days when having a landscape was not such a burden but rather a joy.
Our program seeks to bring awareness to the public of the waste, inefficiency and cost of the traditional system of turf maintenance and bring solutions using a more efficient system that bring a synergistic approach by solving problems that exist with mowing, irrigation and soil health. These three industries have been pulled apart in a disjointed approach to turf care. We seek to rejoin these three areas, eliminate inefficiencies and outdated ideas and bring a healthier, less toxic, more efficient and happier, less frustration filled environment.
These are the facets of each area:
Mowing- There is an inherent disadvantage to the weekly cut paradigm. The weather, manpower and transportation all seek to defeat the mowing process. Not only can we eliminate their inefficiencies but we can cut the lawn every day thus improving turf health, save resources and lessen stress in the turf.
Irrigation-Through proper use of the irrigation system and maximizing efficiency and effectiveness all while eliminating the waste and improving soil hydration we can extend the health of the turf and greatly diminish the occurrence of turf related stress, disease and death caused by soil dehydration.
Soil health-By educating the public of the inherent weaknesses of the climate along with the poor quality of the soil and the poor practices which are perpetuating the high cost of propping up a failing system we can improve the equation. By reversing the poor practices, incorporating a biological approach we can not only have a healthier lawn but a much much more efficient one which translates into great cost savings.
With a modern and fresh perspective on the art of keeping a lawn we can make it much more enjoyable for you. Sounds good right?
