Lawn chemicals, like weed killers, can harm the environment. They make grass look nice by killing weeds, but they cause problems. These chemicals can wash into rivers and lakes when it rains, hurting fish and plants. They can also make the soil unhealthy, so worms and bugs that help plants grow can’t live there. People and pets might get sick if they touch or breathe these chemicals.
Instead of using harmful chemicals, we can balance the soil to stop weeds. Healthy soil has the right nutrients, like food for plants. When soil is balanced, grass grows strong and weeds don’t have space to grow. You can test soil to see what it needs, like adding composted natural fertilizers. Natural fertilizers can be made from food scraps, and it helps soil stay healthy without hurting nature.
Organic alternatives, like natural weed sprays work just as well as chemicals. They don’t pollute water or harm animals. There are an array of alternatives for very specific requirements.
By caring for soil and using organic options, we can have green lawns without hurting the environment. Let’s make choices that help nature!
